Getting to know Mrs. Thrasher...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Shereko Thrasher and I will be teaching 8th grade Interrelated ELA ESE this school year.

I am a resident of McDonough, Georgia and a rare recipient of Henry County School District Education from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Management at Clayton State University, a Master of Business Education at Keller Graduate School of Management and a Special Eduation General Curriculum (P-12) Teaching Certification.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years and I have 1 son, age 17. I enjoy singing, dancing, reading, church activities and vacationing.

Together, your children and I will work together to make this an outstanding year!

Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that having a delicate and personal interaction with my students is one of the most important characteristics of teaching. Being familiar with my students is vital to having a good connection with them. I plan to design and deliver lessons geared towards the individual needs and capabilities of my students on a daily basis.

In my opinion, teaching is learning. I have learned to be flexible in my approach to work with the students that I teach. Every student is an individual and my goal is to try and meet his or her every need. I am learning every day as my students are and this is the key to having great rapport.

This is going to be a very exciting school year. I look forward to teaching and interacting vigorously with your children and having a fresh and fantastic school year!
